Evergreen tree grows to 40' x 40'. Leaves have 7-11 glossy dark green leaflets that are rounded at the tips. There are male and female trees. Nuts appear on the female trees only if there are male trees in the vicinity. Very tolerant of desert conditions. Needs good drainage. Native to the Mediterranean.
