This evergreen shrub grows to 8' x 10'. Attractive orange fruits appear after non-showy blooms in spring. Birds and other animals eat the berries and the plant provides shelter for wildlife. Accepts full sun. Native to the southwestern deserts.

Frost tolerant to 10 F. Recently reclassified as Celtis ehrenbergia.
